Carleman estimates and null controllability of a class of singular parabolic equations

open access: yesAdvances in Nonlinear Analysis, 2018
In this paper, we consider control systems governed by a class of semilinear parabolic equations, which are singular at the boundary and possess singular convection and reaction terms.

An Adaptive Human Pilot Model With Reaction Time Delay for Enhanced Adaptive Control in Piloted Systems

open access: yesInternational Journal of Adaptive Control and Signal Processing, EarlyView.
This work introduces an adaptive human pilot model that captures pilot time‐delay effects in adaptive control systems. The model enables the prediction of pilot–controller interactions, facilitating safer integration and improved design of adaptive controllers for piloted applications.

Analogue Sochocky formulae for integral operators with additional logarithmic singularity

open access: yesЖурнал Белорусского государственного университета: Математика, информатика, 2018
In this paper we prove the limit formulas for singular integrals of the form. Limit values of such integrals are expressed in terms of singular integral operators and also integral operators.

Study of singular elliptic equations with mixed boundary conditions and nonlocal source terms

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Qualitative Theory of Differential Equations
In this article, we study the generalized solutions for singular elliptic equations with mixed boundary conditions, a nonlocal source term and a Hardy potential.

An elliptic system with logarithmic nonlinearity

open access: yesAdvances in Nonlinear Analysis, 2017
In the present paper, we study the existence of solutions for some classes of singular systems involving the Δp⁢(x){\Delta_{p(x)}} and Δq⁢(x){\Delta_{q(x)}} Laplacian operators. The approach is based on bifurcation theory and the sub-supersolution method

Revisiting Stability Criteria in Ball‐Milled High‐Entropy Alloys: Do Hume–Rothery and Thermodynamic Rules Equally Apply?

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, Volume 27, Issue 6, March 2025.
The stability criteria affecting the formation of high‐entropy alloys, particularly focusing in supersaturated solid solutions produced by mechanical alloying, are analyzed. Criteria based on Hume–Rothery rules are distinguished from those derived from thermodynamic relations. The formers are generally applicable to mechanically alloyed samples.

Electrical Conductivities of Conductors, Semiconductors, and Their Mixtures at Elevated Temperatures

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This article presents a comprehensive review of temperature‐dependent electrical conductivity data for multiple material classes at elevated temperatures, highlighting a persistent conductivity gap between metals and semiconductors in the range of 102$\left(10\right)^{2}$– 107$\left(10\right)^{7}$ S/m. Metal–ceramic irregular metamaterials are proposed

Nonlinear Dirichlet problems with the combined effects of singular and convection terms

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2019
We consider a nonlinear Dirichlet elliptic problem driven by the p-Laplacian. In the reaction term of the equation we have the combined effects of a singular term and a convection term.

Singular Terms, Belief, and Reality

open access: yesDialectica, 1977
Summary In this paper the apparent disagreement between Kripke and Frege on the analysis of singular terms is analyzed. It is shown that Frege's theory is basically an analysis of belief, while Kripke's theory is basically an analysis of metaphysical and causal contexts.

Pyramidal Structures on Yttria‐Stabilized Zirconia after High Temperature Exposure at 1500°C: New Features on an Old Material

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
New features on yttria‐stabilized zirconia after exposure at 1500°C: Newly discovered pyramidal structures on an old material. After exposure at 1550°C on the cross section of YSZ new features, namely pyramidal structures are discovered. These structures grow with time, increase in numbers, appear as singularities, are often arranged in strings, and ...
