Step-like contrast structure of singularly perturbed optimal control problem

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Qualitative Theory of Differential Equations, 2011
In this paper, the existence of step-like contrast structure for a class of singularly perturbed optimal control problem is shown by the contrast structure theory.

Perturbation formula of eigenvalues in a singularly perturbed domain

open access: yesJournal of the Mathematical Society of Japan, 1993
The author deals with partial degeneration of a domain (the Dumbbell shaped domain) and an asymptotic behavior of a certain class of eigenvalues of the Laplacian with Neumann boundary conditions. For small \(\zeta>0\), the domain \(\Omega(\zeta)\) is expressed as follows \(\Omega(\zeta)=D_ 1\cup D_ 2\cup Q(\zeta)\subset\mathbb{R}^ n\) where \(Q(\zeta)\)

CHD4 Orchestrates Chromatin Remodeling to Activate the c‐Myc Signaling Pathway in Cancer Pathogenesis

open access: yesMedComm – Oncology, Volume 5, Issue 2, June 2026.
CHD4 plays an essential role as an epigenetic regulator in the pathogenesis of multiple myeloma. The chromatin remodeling protein initially resolves G‐quadruplex (G4) secondary structures within the c‐Myc promoter region, thereby enhancing chromatin accessibility and promoting transcriptional activation.

Neural Network-Based Adaptive Tracking Control for a Class of Nonlinear Singularly Perturbed Systems

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
In this paper, the neural network-based adaptive tracking control method is addressed for a class of multi-input affine unknown nonlinear singularly perturbed systems.

A singularly perturbed semilinear reaction-diffusion problem in a polygonal domain

open access: yes, 2009
The semilinear reaction-di®usion equation ¡"24u+b(x; u) = 0 with Dirichlet bound-ary conditions is considered in a convex polygonal domain. The singular perturbation parameter ε is arbitrarily small, and the “reduced equation” b(x, u0 (x)) = 0 may have ...

An Intial-Value Technique for Self-Adjoint Singularly Perturbed Two-Point Boundary Value Problems

open access: yes, 2020
In this paper, we present an initial value technique for solving self-adjoint singularly perturbed linear boundary value problems. The original problem is reduced to its normal form and the reduced problem is converted to first order initial value ...

Vegetated Canopy Heterogeneity Footprints in the Roughness Sublayer

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Atmospheres, Volume 131, Issue 10, 28 May 2026.
Abstract Turbulent flows over horizontally homogeneous rough surfaces are categorized as rough‐wall boundary layer flows, while flows over homogeneous vegetated canopies are better described through a mixing‐layer analogy. At present, numerous studies have investigated canopy density as a transition mechanism between rough‐wall and mixing‐layer‐type ...

A Class of Shock Wave Solution to Singularly Perturbed Nonlinear Time-Delay Evolution Equations

open access: yesShock and Vibration, 2020
Nonlinear singularly perturbed problem for time-delay evolution equation with two parameters is studied. Using the variables of the multiple scales method, homogeneous equilibrium method, and approximation expansion method from the singularly perturbed ...

Maximum norm a posteriori error estimation for parabolic problems using elliptic reconstructions

open access: yes, 2013
A semilinear second-order parabolic equation is considered in a regular and a singularly perturbed regime. For this equation, we give computable a posteriori error estimates in the maximum norm.

PID‐Like Robust Control of Non‐Minimum Phase Robotic Manipulators

open access: yesInternational Journal of Robust and Nonlinear Control, Volume 36, Issue 8, Page 4490-4503, 25 May 2026.
ABSTRACT This paper proposes an output‐feedback tracking controller for non‐minimum phase nonlinear systems with unknown uncertainties and external disturbances, where not all states are measurable, and the zero dynamics are unstable. The approach combines a backstepping‐based stabilizing state‐feedback law with a cascade extended high‐gain observer ...
