Reachability Results in Plane Trees

open access: yesCommunications in Advanced Mathematical Sciences, 2021
In this paper, we obtain closed formulas for the number of reachable vertices in labelled plane trees by paths lengths, sinks, leaf sinks, first children, left most path, non-first children, and non-leaves.

Does forest matter regarding Chilean CO2 international abatement commitments? A multilevel decomposition approach

open access: yesCarbon Management, 2018
This paper assesses the role of the forestry sector in the CO2-eq emissions change in Chile from 1990 to 2013. Due to its relevance, this sector is considered as a proxy LULUCF activities.

Assembly and Source of the Lithobiontic Microbial Community in Limestone

open access: yesFermentation, 2023
Due to its unique rock properties (e.g., porous nature, rough texture, and high calcium and magnesium content), limestone exhibits a high degree of bioreceptivity.

Steady free surface flows induced by a submerged ring source or sink

open access: yes, 2012
The steady axisymmetric flow induced by a ring sink (or source) submerged in an unbounded inviscid fluid is computed and the resulting deformation of the free surface is obtained.

TRAIL‐PEG‐Apt‐PLGA nanosystem as an aptamer‐targeted drug delivery system potential for triple‐negative breast cancer therapy using in vivo mouse model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.
