After 12 months of illness, the patient developed swelling and pain in various skeletal regions. Scintigraphic, radiological and CT imaging revealed multiple osseous lesions.

Excisional biopsies and a systemic evaluation were performed.Systemic evaluation was normal; no lymphadenopathy was documented.

[Sinus histiocytosis with massive lymphadenopathy].
Harefuah, 1984A case of sinus histiocytosis with massive lymphadenopathy in a boy of 13 with multiple subcutaneous tumor-like formations 0.5 to 2.5 cm in diameter is described. The general condition of the patient was not changed despite the 7-month course of the disease. Mild anemia and increased ESR were observed.

Sinus Histiocytosis Presenting as a Mediastinal Mass
Chest, 1984A 32-year-old man with a ten-year history of bilateral cervical adenopathy, parotid gland swelling, and a posterior mediastinal mass, presented with headaches. A CAT scan of the head revealed a suprasellar mass. Craniotomy and biopsy of this lesion led to a diagnosis of sinus histiocytosis.

Sinus histiocytosis with massive lymphadenopathy: skeletal involvement
Pediatric Radiology, 1985A 9-year-old girl with known sinus histiocytosis with massive lymphadenopathy (SHML) has been followed since infancy. At age six, she developed swelling and pain in several joints. Subsequently, bone lesions were identified by scintigraphy and radiographs. Biopsy of the bone showed typical features of SHML. Bone lesions in this disease are rare.

Lin chuang er bi yan hou ke za zhi = Journal of clinical otorhinolaryngology, 2011To explore the therapeutic strategy of sinus histiocytosis with massive lymphadenopathy (SHML).The six patients with SHML were treated with different therapeutic strategies.Two of six patients were treated with radiation therapy and chemical therapy resulting in tumor lessened markedly.
