Outcomes of Supraclavicular Access in Temporary Pacemaker Implantation

This study compared supraclavicular versus infraclavicular venous access for temporary pacemaker implantation in 3569 patients. Supraclavicular access showed fewer complications, higher first‐attempt success, shorter procedure time, and improved complication‐free survival.

Furthermore, the amyloid cardiomyopathy can indirectly affect the central nervous system by inducing systemic hypoperfusion and increasing the risk of acute ischaemic stroke.
