Axial Crushing Performance of Thin‐Walled Multicellular Tubes Based on Spiderweb Helix Bionics
Inspired by the architecture of natural spiderwebs, this paper introduces the three‐dimensional helical‐radial synergistic load‐bearing mechanism of spiderwebs into the design of thin‐walled multicell tubes for the first time to enhance structural crashworthiness.

Shear Resistance of Stainless Steel I Girders with Corrugated Web
Abstract This article presents the results of the laboratory test program for stainless steel I‐beams with sinusoidal corrugated web. Due to the web corrugation, the out‐of‐plane stiffness of the web increases compared to traditional flat web beams, so the thickness of the web can be reduced.
