Evolution and Numerical Prediction of Fatigue‐Controlled Regions in Bolted–Welded Joints of Steel Truss Bridges

A three‐dimensional nonlinear refined finite element model for bolted and welded nodes in steel truss bridges identifies fatigue‐critical regions and governing mechanisms, enabling a fatigue life prediction method that supports safety assessment and durability design.

The Viscoelastic Behaviour of Auxetic Metamaterials

Stretch‐only auxetic unit‐cell viscoelastic models are extended from elastic honeycomb and keyway lattices using Maxwell and standard‐linear‐solid representations. Different horizontal and oblique relaxation responses make Poisson's ratio time‐ and frequency‐dependent, enabling tuneable auxetic behaviour for damping and adaptive structures.
