Abstract Magnetic nanoparticles, Fe 3 O 4 @SiO 2 @meso-SiO 2 and Fe 3 O 4 @SiO 2 @meso-SiO 2 -NH 2 , have been prepared and used as adsorbents for the detection of trace organic compounds. Selected organic acids and bases were adsorbed from their solutions onto the surface of suspended magnetic solids.

The system Ca 2 SiO 4 -Mn 2 SiO 4
American Journal of Science, 1961The join Ca 2 SiO 4 -Mn 2 SiO 4 is not entirely binary due to narrow compositional range of incongruent melting. The liquidus and solidus curves were examined in detail, passing through a minimum at 75.5 weight percent Mn 2 SiO 4 and 1,204 degrees C. Subsolidus studies indicate that CaMnSiO 4 forms a complete series of solid solutions with Mn 2 SiO 4 .

Spray dried SiO 2 WO 3 /TiO 2 and SiO 2 vanadium pyrophosphate core-shell catalysts
Powder Technology, 2017Abstract Commercial catalytic gas-solid fluidized reactors operate best with a wide particle size distribution (PSD) centered around 70 μm. Spray drying micro-sized powders with binders—colloidal silica, for example—provides the attrition resistance required to withstand the mechanical stresses inherent in these reactors.

Effect of the OH ions on SiO 2 /SPG/SiO 2 /InSb device stability
SPIE Proceedings, 1994A metal-insulator-semiconductor device, Auger spectroscopy and infrared absorption spectrum have been used to study the impurities in phosphorosilicate glass (sio 2 /SPG/sio 2 )/InSb. The hydroxyl ions which caused current leakage during high vacuum outgassing were investigated. The current leakage mechanism in InSb p/n diodes have been discussed.

Resonant tunneling in disordered materials such as SiO/sub 2//Si/SiO/sub 2/
Compound Semiconductors 1997. Proceedings of the IEEE Twenty-Fourth International Symposium on Compound Semiconductors, 1997We have analyzed the effect of disorder in both the well and barriers of a resonant tunneling diode (RTD). If the disorder is limited solely to the barriers, a good peak-to-valley ratio (PVR) is expected. We describe a general guideline relating the PVR to the bulk mobility and effective mass of the well material of an RTD.

Fabrication of SiO 2 /AgI/SiO 2 /Ag hollow glass fiber for infrared transmission
SPIE Proceedings, 2009Transmission characteristics of infrared hollow fiber with multi- AgI and SiO 2 films are discussed. Three-dielectric-layer hollow glass fiber with SiO 2 /AgI/SiO 2 /Ag structure was fabricated for low-loss delivery of infrared laser light. The first SiO 2 film on the silver layer was coated by using liquid phase coating method.

Co Thickness Effect on the Dielectric Permittivity of SiO$_{2}$/Co/SiO$_{2}$ Films
IEEE Transactions on Magnetics, 2012The effect of Co inserted layer with thickness below 20 nm on the dielectric permittivity of SiO2 (60 nm)/Co(x nm)/SiO2 (60 nm) thin films fabricated on glass B270 substrates by the reactive sputtering technique was studied. The dielectric constant is around 7.4 for B270 glass substrate and SiO2 /B270 film.
