Detections of SiO Masers from the Large-Amplitude Variables in the Galactic Nuclear Disk [PDF]
We have surveyed known large-amplitude variables within 15' of the Galactic center in the SiO J=1-0 v=1 and 2 maser lines at 43 GHz, resulting in 79 detections and 58 non-detections.

SiO collimated outflows driven by high-mass YSOs in G24.78+0.08 [PDF]
We imaged the molecular outflows towards the cluster of high-mass young stellar objects G24.78+0.08 at high-angular resolution using SiO emission, which is considered the classical tracer of protostellar jets.

Pilot VLBI Survey of SiO v=3 J=1--0 Maser Emission around Evolved Stars [PDF]
In this Letter, we report detections of SiO v=3 J=1--0 maser emission in very long baseline interferometric (VLBI) observations towards 4 out of 12 long-period variable stars: WX Psc, R Leo, W Hya, and T Cep.

Evolution and excitation conditions of outflows in high-mass star-forming regions [PDF]
Theoretical models suggest that massive stars form via disk-mediated accretion, with bipolar outflows playing a fundamental role. A recent study toward massive molecular outflows has revealed a decrease of the SiO line intensity as the object evolves ...

Optical Properties of Doxorubicin Hydrochloride Load and Release on Silica Nanoparticle Platform
Silica nanoparticles (SiO2 NPs) synthesized by the Stober method were used as drug delivery vehicles. Doxorubicin hydrochloride (DOX·HCl) is a chemo-drug absorbed onto the SiO2 NPs surfaces.

Dense molecular clumps in the envelope of the yellow hypergiant IRC+10420 [PDF]
The circumstellar envelope of the hypergiant star IRC+10420 has been traced as far out in SiO J=2-1 as in CO J = 1-0 and CO J = 2-1, in dramatic contrast with the centrally condensed (thermal) SiO- but extended CO-emitting envelopes of giant and ...

Infrared Properties of SiO Maser Sources in Late-Type Stars [PDF]
Results of an SiO maser survey for the late-type stars selected by the IRTS (Infrared Telescope in Space) are presented. We have detected SiO J=1-0, v=1 and/or v=2 lines in 27 stars out of 59 stars. The maser intensity increases with the depth of the H2O

A cycloaurated phosphinothioic amide gold(III) complex was supported on amorphous silica with the aid of an imidazolium ionic liquid (IL) physisorbed in the SiO2 pores (SiO2⁻IL) and covalently bonded to the SiO2 (SiO2@IL).

On the Dependence of Band Alignment of SiO₂/Si Stack on SiO₂ Thickness: Extrinsic Or Intrinsic?
The dependence of band alignment of SiO2/Si stack on SiO2 thickness is restudied. The band structure of SiO2/Si stack is investigated by time-dependent X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) with and without electron-compensation technology.

Several reports on amorphous silica nanomaterial (aSiO2 NM) toxicity have been questioning their safety. Herein, we investigated the in vivo pulmonary toxicity of four variants of aSiO2 NM: SiO2_15_Unmod, SiO2_15_Amino, SiO2_7 and SiO2_40.
