TOF LiDAR with SiPM technology
2016LiDAR (Light Detection And Ranging) systems measures the distance from the sensor to the target by determining the time between the release of the laser pulse to the receiving of the backscattered pulse. The interest in LiDAR technology has exploded in recent years since the applications are numerous.

SiPM as novel optical biosensor transduction and applications
2014 Fotonica AEIT Italian Conference on Photonics Technologies, 2014Wide ranges of biological applications require fluorescence techniques. In particular, in DNA chip optical fluorophores are conjugated to the target molecule (the molecule to "investigate") that hybridize the probe (a DNA strand anchored on a glass slide) and optical scanners are used as detectors.

Nuclear Instruments and Methods in Physics Research Section A: Accelerators, Spectrometers, Detectors and Associated Equipment, 2019
Abstract Compton cameras have been developed for almost fifty years in various fields (astronomy, medical imaging, safety and industrial inspections, etc.), employing different types of detectors. Their potential use has gained renewed interest with the emergence of high light yield scintillator crystals and silicon photomultipliers (SiPMs).

Characterization of SiPM: Temperature dependencies
2008 IEEE Nuclear Science Symposium Conference Record, 2008Within RAPSODI1 novel types of Silicon Photo-Multiplier (SiPM) from different suppliers were investigated. The main parameters: dark count rate, amplification, dynamic range, quantum detection efficiency and optical cross-talk have been studied to qualify the detectors.
