A report on the sisal language project
Journal of Parallel and Distributed Computing, 1990Abstract Sisal (Streams and Iterations in Single Assignment Language) is a general-purpose applicative language intended for use on both conventional and novel multiprocessor systems. In this report we discuss the project's objectives, philosophy, and accomplishments and state our future plans.

Stable isotope records from speleothems provide information on past climate changes, most particularly information that can be used to reconstruct past changes in precipitation and atmospheric circulation. These records are increasingly being used to provide "out-of-sample" evaluations of isotope-enabled climate models.
