Abstract Decades of theory and scholarship on the concept of human well‐being have informed a proliferation of approaches to assess well‐being and support public policy aimed at sustainability and improving quality of life. Human well‐being is multidimensional, and well‐being emerges when the dimensions and interrelationships interact as a system.

We developed a spatialized surface for the primary food of grizzly bears in southeast British Columbia. After using this huckleberry patch layer to model habitat selection, fitness, and density, in a bottom‐up top‐down paradigm, we found that huckleberry patches near forestry roads contribute very little to fitness and density.

Social Life Cycle Assessment of Mexico City's Water Cycle

A total of 0.062 worker‐hours (WH) for 1 m3 of water used in Mexico City is estimated. Ninety‐four percent of this time present a high potential risk of social impact on the quality of employment. While 5% implies a high potential risk of adequate public water services for local communities in the Cutzamala system.
