Abstract The paper analyses the determinants of mortality during the Corona pandemic. In a first step, possible causes are subjected to a global comparison.The focus is on political, institutional, economic, demographic and health policy factors. Where Did the Party Conflicts Go? How Horizontal Specialization in Political Systems Affects Party Conflicts

Abstract This article shows that political conflicts are expressed in different arenas and between different actors depending on the degree of horizontal specialization in a political system.
