Unveiling protective mechanisms of wild olive (acebuche) oil in retinal pigment epithelial cells with hypertensive phenotype

open access: yesThe Journal of Physiology, EarlyView.
Abstract figure legend Circulating extracellular vesicles (EVs) derived from acebuche (ACE) oil‐ and extra virgin olive oil (EVOO)‐fed mice modulate nitric oxide (NO) metabolism in the retinal pigment epithelial cell line (ARPE19) with a hypertensive phenotype induced by angiotensin II (AngII).

Testing VIPV Curved Modules: Methods and Challenges

open access: yesProgress in Photovoltaics: Research and Applications, Volume 34, Issue 6, Page 744-757, June 2026.
This work presents procedures and equipment for characterizing curved vehicle‐integrated photovoltaic (VIPV) modules through STC I–V curve and relative angular response (RAR) measurements. Outdoor measurements are compared with indoor measurements obtained using a collimated‐light solar simulator, showing excellent agreement for STC I–V curves.

Missing the Mark: Adoption of Watermarking for Generative AI Systems in Practice and Implications Under the New EU AI Act

open access: yesPolicy &Internet, Volume 18, Issue 2, June 2026.
ABSTRACT AI‐generated images have become so good in recent years that individuals often cannot distinguish them from ‘real’ images. This development, combined with the rapid spread of AI‐generated content online, creates a series of societal risks. Watermarking, a technique that involves embedding information within the content to indicate their AI ...

Snapshots of Motion: A Novel Structural Intermediate Reveals Conserved Dynamics in Archaeal DNA Ligases

open access: yesProteins: Structure, Function, and Bioinformatics, Volume 94, Issue 6, Page 1245-1258, June 2026.
ABSTRACT We present the first x‐ray crystallographic structural evidence of an archaeal DNA ligase showing the AMP covalent adduct together with further cofactor hydrolysis, capturing a transient intermediary in the first step of the ligation reaction, triggered by the pyrophosphate hydrolysis.
