Soil and Site Productivity Effects on Above- and Belowground Radiata Pine Carbon Pools at Harvesting Age [PDF]

open access: yesPlants
Pinus radiata D. Don is the most widely planted forest species in Chile, making it crucial to understand carbon pools in adult plantations. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of soil type and site productivity on the total carbon stock in adult ...

Matrix Product States with Large Sites [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Chemical Theory and Computation, 2022
We explore various ways to group orbitals into clusters in a matrix product state (MPS). We explain how a generic cluster MPS can often lead to an increase in computational cost and instead propose a special cluster structure, involving only the first and last orbitals/sites, with a wider scope for computational advantage.

Vzpostavitev, nadgradnja in vzdrževanje območij enake bonitete (=The establishment, upgrading, and administering of areas of equal land-rating values)

open access: yesGeodetski Vestnik, 2022
The beginnings of the agricultural and woodland valuation in Slovenia date back to the time of the Austro-Hungarian state when the cadastral classification of land was established.

Development of regional height growth model for Scots pine using repeated airborne laser scanning data

open access: yesFrontiers in Environmental Science, 2023
The rapid development of remote sensing technologies is creating unprecedented opportunities for monitoring and inventorying forest ecosystems. One advantage of remote sensing data is that it can be used to monitor and measure tree growth in near real ...

Evaluation of poplar (Populus deltoids Marsh.) stands height growth using a Generalized Additive Model (Case study: Guisoum & Haft-Daghanan region, Guilan province) [PDF]

open access: yesتحقیقات جنگل و صنوبر ایران, 2016
Site productivity is a key indicator of forest ecosystem, and is therefore an important criterion for forest managers to estimate the yield, annual exploitation and site growth. In this study, dominant height index was used as the most reliable criterion

Forest Potential Productivity Mapping by Linking Remote-Sensing-Derived Metrics to Site Variables

open access: yesRemote Sensing, 2020
A fine-resolution region-wide map of forest site productivity is an essential need for effective large-scale forestry planning and management. In this study, we incorporated Sentinel-2 satellite data into an increment-based measure of forest productivity

Estimation of the excavator actual productivity at the construction site using video analysis

open access: yesOrganization, Technology and Management in Construction: An International Journal, 2021
Current estimates of the actual productivity of heavy construction machinery at a construction site are not supported by an appropriate and widely used methodology.

Evaluation of the Site Form as a Site Productive Indicator in Temperate Uneven-Aged Multispecies Forests in Durango, Mexico

open access: yesPlants, 2022
Even though the site index is a popular method for describing forest productivity, its use is limited in uneven-aged multispecies forests. Accordingly, the site form (SF) is an alternative measure of productivity to the site index based on the tree ...

Effects of Elevated CO2 on Wheat Yield: Non-Linear Response and Relation to Site Productivity

open access: yesAgronomy, 2019
Elevated carbon dioxide (eCO2) is well known to stimulate plant photosynthesis and growth. Elevated carbon dioxide’s effects on crop yields are of particular interest due to concerns for future food security.

Proposal for Tower Crane Productivity Indicators Based on Data Analysis in the Era of Construction 4.0

open access: yesBuildings, 2021
This article proposes a methodology to measure the productivity of a construction site through the analysis of tower crane data. These data were obtained from a data logger that records a time series of spatial and load data from the lifting machine ...
