A 20-year-old male presented to Nambour General Hospital Emergency Department with a 24-h history of left upper quadrant and epigastric pain, nausea, vomiting and fever. The patient had no significant medical or surgical history other than being known to have situs inversus totalis since childhood. His BMI was 38 kg/m2.
