Mechanism‐Aware Deep Learning Maps the Redox Landscape of Cancer‐Relevant Antioxidants

open access: yesChemistry–Methods, Volume 6, Issue 4, April 2026.
A mechanism‐aware deep learning framework links chemical structure to redox biology, enabling pathway‐specific prediction of antioxidant mechanisms across six core reactive oxygen species‐regulatory systems and outperforming structure‐only baseline by learning biologically grounded rather than purely chemical similarity rules.

The macroecology of immunity: predominant influence of climate on invertebrate immune response

open access: yesEcography, Volume 2026, Issue 4, April 2026.
The immune system is the primary defense against parasites. With the ever‐increasing rate of disease, epidemiologic models considering geographic variation in immune responses could prove useful. Despite increasing interest in the macroecology of parasitism and infectious diseases, we know little about the macroecology of immune responses (i.e ...

Comparative Phytochemical Profiling and Wound Healing Potential of Scabiosa pseudograminifolia Hub.‐Mor. and Scabiosa hololeuca Bornm.: UHPLC‐HRMS/MS Analysis and Fibroblast‐Based Evaluation

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 14, Issue 4, April 2026.
Comparative phytochemical profiling of Scabiosa pseudograminifolia Hub.‐Mor. and Scabiosa hololeuca Bornm. was performed using UHPLC‐HRMS/MS, revealing phenolic‐rich extracts obtained via microwave‐assisted extraction. The extracts exhibited non‐toxic effects on NIH/3T3 cells and demonstrated wound healing, antioxidant (ROS‐modulating), and ...

Anti‐Cancer Effect of a New 5‐FU Derivative Containing Triazole‐Bearing Mannose (5‐FUD‐MAN) Against Human Breast Cancer Cells Through LC3B‐Mediated Cell Death

open access: yesJournal of Biochemical and Molecular Toxicology, Volume 40, Issue 4, April 2026.
The anticancer activity of 5‐FU modified with mannose containing 1,2,3‐triazole compound in MCF‐7 breast cancer cells were revealed in this study. While 5‐FU caused cytotoxicity in both cancerous and healthy cells, 5‐FUD‐Man showed selective cytotoxicity.

Electro‐Conversion of a Cu‐Based Metal–Organic Framework Gel Into a Copper‐Sulfide Electrocatalyst: Toward Selective CO2 Electroreduction to Formic Acid

open access: yesSmall Structures, Volume 7, Issue 4, April 2026.
CuxS electrocatalysts with finely tuned composition were generated via controlled electrochemical conversion of an HKUST‐1 metal–organic framework (MOF) gel. We found that a MOF‐converted Cu2S catalyst exhibits exceptional CO2 reduction to formic acid selectivity, achieving over 90% Faradaic efficiency. Insights into the catalyst's operation mechanisms
