Six-Phase Voltage Source Inverter Driven Induction Motor

A six-phase six-step voltage-fed induction motor is presented. The inverter is a transistorized six-step voltage source inverter, while the motor is a modified standard three-phase squirrel-cage motor. The stator is rewound with two three-phase winding sets displaced from each other by 30 electrical degrees.

Harmonic reduction of Direct Torque Control of six-phase induction motor

In this paper, a new switching method in Direct Torque Control (DTC) of a six-phase induction machine for reduction of current harmonics is introduced. Selecting a suitable vector in each sampling period is an ordinal method in the ST-DTC drive of a six-phase induction machine.

This paper presents the using speed fuzzy logic controller for six phase induction motor fed by six phase voltage source inverter. At first the models of SPIM, indirect field-oriented control and SPVSI are developed. After, the speed fuzzy logic controller is used to achieve robust performances against rotor resistance and moment of inertia variations.
