ABSTRACT Surveillance imaging aims to detect tumour relapse before symptoms develop, but it's unclear whether earlier detection of relapse leads to better outcomes in children and young people (CYP) with medulloblastoma and ependymoma. This systematic review aims to identify relevant literature to determine the efficacy of surveillance magnetic ...

There are different measures for effect size to compare 2 means, The most common effect sizes are Cohen’s d, Hedges’ g and Glass’ delta3. I leave relative risk, odds ratios, correlation coefficients, etc., for another occasion because they are beyond the scope of this editorial and I prefer to introduce concepts slowly.

Modelling of Size Effect with Regularised Continua
A nonlocal damage continuum and a viscoplastic damage continuum are used to model size effects. Three-point bending specimens are analysed, whereby a distinction is made between unnotched specimens, specimens with a constant notch and specimens with a ...

Extreme scale-dependent tensile properties of epoxy fibers
Epoxy fibers with different diameters were prepared by hot drawing and their mechanical properties were measured under tension. The stiffness, strength, ultimate strain, and toughness revealed substantial scale-dependent effects as they all significantly

Analysis of indentation size effect in copper and its alloys [PDF]
For describing the indentation size effect (ISE), numerous models, which relate the load or hardness to the indent dimensions, have been proposed. Unfortunately, it is still difficult to associate the different parameters involved in such relationships ...

ABSTRACT Background We describe clinical and biologic characteristics of neuroblastoma in older children, adolescents, and young adults (OCAYA); describe survival outcomes in the post‐immunotherapy era; and identify if there is an age cut‐off that best discriminates outcomes.

Finite-Size Effect of Hadron Masses with Kogut-Susskind Quarks [PDF]
We present numerical results and their analyses of finite-size effects of hadron masses for both quenched and full QCD calculations. We show that they are much larger for full QCD due to dynamical sea quarks and the associated breaking of $Z(3)$ symmetry.
