Treatment of Class II malocclusion with mandibular skeletal anchorage

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, 2017
The aim of this case report was to present the dentofacial changes obtained with bone anchorage in a Class II patient with moderate to severe crowding.A boy, aged 14.5 years, with a dolichofacial type, convex profile, and skeletal and dental Class II relationships was examined.

A study of the mechanical strength of miniscrews and miniplates for skeletal anchorage

open access: yesJournal of Dental Sciences, 2011
AbstractBackground/purposeThe concept of miniscrews-miniplates has been used in orthodontic practice to reinforce skeletal anchorage. The aim of this study was to evaluate the mechanical strength of miniplates in vertical and horizontal pull-out tests.Materials and methodsThe insertion torques and pull-out strengths of 10 miniscrew–miniplate orthopedic

Alkoxy Side Chain Engineering in Metal‐Free Covalent Organic Frameworks for Efficient Oxygen Reduction

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This study explores how alkoxy side chains influence COF properties to enhance oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) performance. Incorporating varying alkoxy groups improves hydrophilicity and modulates the electronic structure via p‐π conjugation. Notably, longer alkoxy side chains facilitate fine‐tuning of the COFs' electronic states, resulting in ...
