This study demonstrates that in high‐alloy systems, nanoclusters with high solute tolerance can effectively suppress compositional segregation. This mitigation leads to a concurrent 18.7% increase in strength and 41.5% improvement in ductility, which is attributed to a shear‐bypass synergistic strengthening mechanism. The findings provide a new pathway

A data‐driven strategy integrating quantum machine learning (QML) and high‐throughput computing overcomes hot‐cracking limitation to design a novel lightweight aluminum‐based entropy alloy for additive manufacturing. The fabrication transforms brittle intermetallics into deformable hierarchical nanostructures, yielding ultrastrong strength (>1 GPa) and

Orthognathic Surgical Outcomes in Patients With and Without Craniofacial Anomalies [PDF]
Purpose The objective of this study is to examine hospitalization outcomes after orthognathic surgery. This study tests the hypothesis that patients with craniofacial anomalies have higher billed hospital charges, longer lengths of stay, and increased ...

Ptosis as a unique hallmark for autosomal recessive WNT1-associated osteogenesis imperfecta [PDF]
Osteogenesis imperfecta (OI) is a heritable connective tissue disorder, mainly characterized by bone fragility and low bone mass. Defects in the type I procollagen-encoding genes account for the majority of OI, but increasingly more rare autosomal ...

Craniofacial Analysis May Indicate Co-Occurrence of Skeletal Malocclusions and Associated Risks in Development of Cleft Lip and Palate [PDF]
Non-syndromic orofacial clefts encompass a range of morphological changes affecting the oral cavity and the craniofacial skeleton, of which the genetic and epigenetic etiologic factors remain largely unknown. The objective of this study is to explore the
