DIEUDONNÉ DETERMINANTS FOR SKEW POLYNOMIAL RINGS [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Algebra and Its Applications, 2006
We observe that the Dieudonné determinant induces a non-negative degree function on the ring of matrices over a skew polynomial ring. We then apply this degree function to two examples. In the first one, we find an expression for the rank of the kernel of an algebraic endomorphism of [Formula: see text] over a field of characteristic p > 0.

MusicSwarm: Biologically Inspired Intelligence for Music Composition

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
Biologically inspired swarms of frozen foundation models self‐organize to compose complex music without fine‐tuning. By coordinating through stigmergic signals, decentralized agents dynamically evolve specialized roles and adapt to solve complex tasks.

DNase1 RS1053874 Polymorphism is Associated with Early Neurological Recovery through NET Modulation and with Long‐Term Survival in Ischemic Stroke: A Prospective Cohort Study

open access: yesAnnals of Neurology, EarlyView.
Objective Immunothrombosis contributes to ischemic stroke pathophysiology through neutrophil extracellular trap (NET) formation, which promotes thrombus stabilization and microvascular dysfunction. DNase1 is the principal endonuclease responsible for NET degradation.

Inter‐microscope comparability of dental microwear texture data obtained from different optical profilometers: Part II Deriving instrument‐specific correction equations for meta‐analyses using published data

open access: yesThe Anatomical Record, EarlyView.
Abstract Dental microwear texture analysis (DMTA) has emerged as a valuable method for investigating the feeding ecology of vertebrates. Over the past decade, three‐dimensional topographic data from microscopic regions of tooth surfaces have been collected, and surface texture parameters have been published for both extant and fossil species.

On Nilpotent Elements of Skew Polynomial Rings

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Extension, 2012
We study the structure of the set of nilpotent elements in skew polynomial ring R[x; α], when R is an α-Armendariz ring. We prove that if R is a nil α-Armendariz ring and α t = IR, then the set of nilpotent elements of R is an α-compatible subrng of ...

Lifespan Pancreas Morphology for Control Versus Type 2 Diabetes Using AI on Largescale Clinical Imaging

open access: yesClinical Anatomy, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Understanding how pancreas size and shape change with normal aging is critical for establishing a baseline to detect deviations in type 2 diabetes and other pancreatic disease. We measure pancreas size and shape using morphological measurements from early development through aging (ages 0–90).

Skew cyclic codes over 𝔻4R and their applications to DNA codes construction

open access: yesAnalele Stiintifice ale Universitatii Ovidius Constanta: Seria Matematica
The fundamental aim of this research is to analyze the configuration of 𝔽4R submodules, skew cyclic codes over 𝔽4R and establish their connection with DNA codes, where 𝔽4 is a field of order 4 and R = 𝔽4 + u𝔽4 + v𝔽4 + w𝔽4 with u2 = u, v2 = v, w2 = w, uv =

Decoding Emotional Signatures of Ethical Ads: An Analysis of Actor‐Viewer Synchrony

open access: yesJournal of Consumer Behaviour, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT We examine whether ethical advertisements differ from conventional ads in their on‐screen emotional signatures and whether those signatures transfer to actor‐viewer synchrony. Study 1 analyses 138 professionally produced YouTube ads using Automated Facial Expression Recognition (AFER) and Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) to quantify actor ...

Prime ideals of skew polynomial rings and skew Laurent polynomial rings

open access: yes, 2018
Let \(S=R[X,X^{-1};\rho]\) be a skew Laurent polynomial ring over a ring \(R\) with automorphism \(\rho\). The authors characterize those prime ideals \(P\) of \(S\) with \(P\cap R=0\) in terms of irreducible polynomials over the centre of \(Q[X,X^{-1};\rho]\), where \(Q\) is the right Martindale quotient of \(R\) with respect to the filter of non-zero
