Solving Shift Register Problems over Skew Polynomial Rings using Module Minimisation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
For many algebraic codes the main part of decoding can be reduced to a shift register synthesis problem. In this paper we present an approach for solving generalised shift register problems over skew polynomial rings which occur in error and erasure ...

Linear Skew Cyclic Codes over đť”˝qS

open access: yesAnalele Stiintifice ale Universitatii Ovidius Constanta: Seria Matematica
In this study, we focus on skew cyclic codes over the family of rings đť”˝q S where q is a power of a prime number and S = đť”˝q + vđť”˝q with v2 = v. Structural properties of these codes are studied in detail. Obtained results lead us to characterize đť”˝q S-linear

Hochschild cohomology of group extensions of quantum symmetric algebras [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Quantum symmetric algebras (or noncommutative polynomial rings) arise in many places in mathematics. In this article we find the multiplicative structure of their Hochschild cohomology when the coefficients are in an arbitrary bimodule algebra. When this

DIEUDONNÉ DETERMINANTS FOR SKEW POLYNOMIAL RINGS [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Algebra and Its Applications, 2006
We observe that the Dieudonné determinant induces a non-negative degree function on the ring of matrices over a skew polynomial ring. We then apply this degree function to two examples. In the first one, we find an expression for the rank of the kernel of an algebraic endomorphism of [Formula: see text] over a field of characteristic p > 0.

Amitsur's theorem, semicentral idempotents, and additively idempotent semirings

open access: yesOpen Mathematics
The article explores research findings akin to Amitsur’s theorem, asserting that any derivation within a matrix ring can be expressed as the sum of an inner derivation and a hereditary derivation.

Prime ideals of skew polynomial rings and skew Laurent polynomial rings

open access: yes, 2018
Let \(S=R[X,X^{-1};\rho]\) be a skew Laurent polynomial ring over a ring \(R\) with automorphism \(\rho\). The authors characterize those prime ideals \(P\) of \(S\) with \(P\cap R=0\) in terms of irreducible polynomials over the centre of \(Q[X,X^{-1};\rho]\), where \(Q\) is the right Martindale quotient of \(R\) with respect to the filter of non-zero

SKEW POLYNOMIAL RINGS OVER SEMIPRIME RINGS

open access: yesJournal of the Korean Mathematical Society, 2010
Y. Hirano introduced the concept of a quasi-Armendariz ring which extends both Armendariz rings and semiprime rings. A ring R is called quasi-Armendariz if aiRbj = 0 for each i,j whenever polynomials f(x) = Pm=0 aix i ,g(x) = Pn=0 bjx j 2 R(x) satisfy f(x)R(x)g(x) = 0.

Skew Polynomial Rings with Binomial Relations

open access: yesJournal of Algebra, 1996
The paper is concerned with algebras \(A\) over a field \(K\) defined by generators \(x_1,\dots,x_n\) subject to relations of the form \(x_jx_i=c_{ij}x_kx_l\), \(1\leq ...
