The Three--Point Correlation Function of the Cosmic Microwave Background in Inflationary Models
We analyze the temperature three--point correlation function and the skewness of the Cosmic Microwave Background (CMB), providing general relations in terms of multipole coefficients.

A statistical framework is applied to quantify the distribution of electrical resistivity among individual filaments of two commercially available carbon fiber types. Correlations between filament resistivity, tensile modulus, and diameter are examined and complemented by TEM analysis to provide new insight into filament‐level variability relevant for ...

Can the box plot be improved? [PDF]
Invented by Spear in 1952 and popularized by Tukey in 1977, the box plot is widely used for displaying and comparing samples of continuous observations.

Skew-normal shocks in the linear state space form DSGE model [PDF]
Observed macroeconomic data – notably GDP growth rate, inflation and interest rates – can be, and usually are skewed. Economists attempt to fit models to data by matching first and second moments or co-moments, but skewness is usually neglected. It is so

Transition to Collective Oscillations in Finite Kuramoto Ensembles
We present an alternative approach to finite-size effects around the synchronization transition in the standard Kuramoto model. Our main focus lies on the conditions under which a collective oscillatory mode is well defined. For this purpose, the minimal

The work demonstrates that strategic wall‐thickness grading in diamond triply periodic minimal surface lattices enables precise tuning of deformation and failure behavior under compression. Different gradation patterns guide how and where the structure collapses, improving energy absorption or promoting controlled brittle failure.

Analysis of the inflation structure of Spanish regions:The Ball and Mankiw methodology [PDF]
In this paper we analyze the incidence of the distribution of price changes on the inflation rate of Spanish regions (1994-2001).Especially,we pay attention to the role of variability and skewness. The methodology applied is based on the menu cost models ...

Are International Equity Markets Really Skewed? [PDF]
Although the extreme tails of the distributions of equity returns tend to exhibit more negative than positive returns, very few studies have analysed how pervasive is skewness across entire distributions.

A lack of standard approaches for testing and reporting the performance of metal halide perovskites and organic semiconductor radiation detectors has resulted in inconsistent interpretation of performance parameters, impeding progress in the field. This Perspective recommends key metrics and experimental details, which are suggested for reporting in ...

An all‐in‐one analog AI accelerator is presented, enabling on‐chip training, weight retention, and long‐term inference acceleration. It leverages a BEOL‐integrated CMO/HfOx ReRAM array with low‐voltage operation (<1.5 V), multi‐bit capability over 32 states, low programming noise (10 nS), and near‐ideal weight transfer.
