D.C. Skin Conductance Variation at Acupuncture Loci

The American Journal of Chinese Medicine, 1976
Skin conductance was measured in 10 subjects with a DC Wheatstone bridge in 10 areas puportedly containing acupuncture loci on the Triple Burner (TB) and Lung (Lu) meridians. When the results were compared to those from antomically similar locations devoid of acpuncture loci, local conductance variation was found to be significantly different (p<0 ...

A Device for Ambulatory Skin Conductance Monitoring

Psychophysiology, 1983
ABSTRACTThe design of instrumentation for the ambulatory measurement of skin conductance (SC) is discussed. Two problems which are frequently encountered concern size constraints and the provision of a sufficient dynamic range. A circuit description which overcomes these problems is given along with details of its construction.

Skin conductance responses to visual sexual stimuli

International Journal of Psychophysiology, 2008
Previous research showed that the asymmetrical direction of bilateral skin conductance responses (SCRs) remains constant regardless of task (with larger left SCRs in men and larger right SCRs in women). However, SCRs are controlled ipsilaterally by structures also associated with sexual arousal, hence it could be expected that larger right SCRs are ...

Interstimulus intervals for skin conductance response measurement

Psychophysiology, 2011
AbstractThis study examined, using the Concealed Information paradigm, whether interstimulus intervals (ISI) typically used for electrodermal measurement can be shortened. An ISI ranging from 16 s to 24 s (with a mean of 20 s) was compared with an ISI shortened by 50% using a within‐participants design.

Skin Oxygen Diffusion Conductance in Premature Infants

1984
Transcutaneous oxygen pressure monitoring has now been widely accepted in neonatal intensive care all over the world with the combination of transcutaneous carbon dioxide pressure monitoring(1). Oxygen pressure obtained at the skin surface is the result of multiple effects such as temperature effect on blood flow, right shift of oxy-hemoglobin ...
