Modelling event-related skin conductance responses
Analytic tools for psychophysiological signals often make implicit assumptions that are unspecified. In developing a mathematical framework for analysis of skin conductance responses [SCRs], we formalise our assumptions by positing that SCRs can be regarded as the output of a linear time-invariant filter.

Effects of Differential Strategies of Emotion Regulation
Patients suffering from mental disorders, especially anxiety disorders, are often impaired by inadequate emotional reactions. Specific aspects are the insufficient perception of their own emotional states and the use of dysfunctional emotion regulation ...

Habituation and Conditioning of Skin Conductance Responses in Children at Risk [PDF]
This investigation extends the findings reported by Salzman and Klein (1978) concerning the skin conductance response (SCR) of the offspring of parents who had been hospitalized for a psychiatric illness. Skin conductance during rest and during experiments testing habituation and conditioning of the SCR was recorded in 7-year-old (n = 42) and 10-year ...

Sources of error in AC measurement of skin conductance
Alternating current methods have the potential to improve the measurement of electrodermal activity. However, there are pitfalls that should be avoided in order to perform these measurements in a correct manner.

Electrodermal Activity Analysis at Different Body Locations
Electrodermal activity (EDA) reflects the variation in the electrical conductance of the skin in response to sweat secretion, constituting a non-invasive measure of the sympathetic nervous system.

Physiological and behavioral patterns of corruption
We study the behavior and emotional arousal of the participants in an experimental auction, leading to an asymmetric social dilemma involving an auctioneer and two bidders.

Skin conductance response to the pain of others predicts later costly helping. [PDF]
People show autonomic responses when they empathize with the suffering of another person. However, little is known about how these autonomic changes are related to prosocial behavior.

Science Majoring Background Modulates the Psychological Responses to Stress on Numerical Task
Numerical tasks have become part of the daily activities of individuals even in academic potential tests which have the potential to cause stress to individuals. The background of majoring in science is thought to be one of the factors that influence the
