Image quality improvement in low‐dose chest CT with deep learning image reconstruction
Abstract Objectives To investigate the clinical utility of deep learning image reconstruction (DLIR) for improving image quality in low‐dose chest CT in comparison with 40% adaptive statistical iterative reconstruction‐Veo (ASiR‐V40%) algorithm. Methods This retrospective study included 86 patients who underwent low‐dose CT for lung cancer screening ...

Abstract Purpose To assess whether the joint application of hybrid iterative reconstruction (HIR) and an adaptive filter (AF) could reduce streak artifacts and improve image quality of neck‐and‐shoulder computed tomography (CT). Methods This study included 96 patients with suspicious neck lesions who underwent a routine nonenhanced scan on a 64‐slice ...

Performance analysis of control allocation using data‐driven integral quadratic constraints
Abstract A new method is presented for evaluating the performance of a nonlinear control allocation system within a linear control loop. To that end, a worst‐case gain analysis problem is formulated that can be readily solved by means of well‐established methods from robustness analysis using integral quadratic constraints (IQCs).

PSFs for mapping artificial night sky luminance over large territories [PDF]
Knowledge of the night sky radiance over a large territory may be valuable informationto identify sites appropriate to astronomical observations or for assessing the impacts ofartificial light at night on ecosystems. Measuring the sky radiance can be a complex endeavourdepending on the desired temporal and spatial resolution.

A Partial-Sky Gibbs ILC Approach for the Estimation of CMB Posterior over Large Angular Scales of the Sky [PDF]
In this article we present a formalism to incorporate the partial-sky maps to the Gibbs ILC algorithm to estimate the joint posterior density of the Cosmic Microwave Background (CMB) signal and the theoretical CMB angular power spectrum given the observed CMB maps.
