Skyline Diagram: Finding the Voronoi Counterpart for Skyline Queries

2018 IEEE 34th International Conference on Data Engineering (ICDE), 2018
Skyline queries are important in many application domains. In this paper, we propose a novel structure Skyline Diagram, which given a set of points, partitions the plane into a set of regions, referred to as skyline polyominos. All query points in the same skyline polyomino have the same skyline query results.

U-Skyline: A New Skyline Query for Uncertain Databases

IEEE Transactions on Knowledge and Data Engineering, 2013
The skyline query, aiming at identifying a set of skyline tuples that are not dominated by any other tuple, is particularly useful for multicriteria data analysis and decision making. For uncertain databases, a probabilistic skyline query, called P-Skyline, has been developed to return skyline tuples by specifying a probability threshold.

Distributed skyline trajectory query processing

Proceedings of the ACM Turing 50th Celebration Conference - China, 2017
The massive amount of trajectory data collected from GPS has emerged in recent year. Many researchers proposed trajectory queries such as top-k query. They focused to solve them based on distance and text relevance. However, the weight of these queries are unknown. Therefore, we plan to handle the trajectory skyline query based on distance and activity

Dynamic Skylines Considering Range Queries

2011
Dynamic skyline queries are practical in many applications. For example, if no data exist to fully satisfy a query q in an information system, the data "closer" to the requirements of q can be retrieved as answers. Finding the nearest neighbors of q can be a solution; yet finding the data not dynamically dominated by any other data with respect to q, i.
