Dynamics of Elliptical Magnetic Skyrmion in Defective Racetrack

open access: yesNanomaterials
Recently, it has been reported that the skyrmion Hall effect can be suppressed in an elliptical skyrmion-based device. Given that defects are unavoidable in materials, it is necessary and important to investigate the dynamics of an elliptical skyrmion in

Magnetic Skyrmion Phase in MnSi Thin Films

open access: yes, 2013
Detailed magnetometry and polarized neutron reflectometry studies were conducted on MnSi thin films grown epitaxially on Si(111) substrates. It is demonstrated that with an in-plane applied field H || [110], a broadly stable skyrmion phase exists at

Controlled formation of skyrmion bags [PDF]

open access: yes
Topologically non-trivial magnetic solitons are complex spin textures with a distinct single-particle nature. Although magnetic skyrmions, especially those with unity topological charge, have attracted substantial interest due to their potential ...

Optical Skyrmions with Tunable or Reconfigurable Topology Using Spin‐Decoupled Metaoptics

open access: yesLaser &Photonics Reviews, EarlyView.
The work introduces advanced optical elements capable of generating and dynamically reconfiguring complex light patterns known as optical skyrmions. By precisely shaping light polarization at the nanoscale, a single engineered metasurface can generate and manipulate robust and tunable polarization textures in an efficient and scalable way.

GPUMDkit: A User‐Friendly Toolkit for GPUMD and NEP

open access: yesMaterials Genome Engineering Advances, EarlyView.
GPUMDkit is a comprehensive and user‐friendly toolkit for GPUMD and NEP programs, integrating format conversion, structure sampling, property calculation, and visualization into a unified interface, substantially lowering the barrier to entry for machine‐learning molecular dynamics simulations with GPUMD and NEP.

Soft Colloidal Robots: Magnetically Guided Liquid Crystal Torons for Targeted Micro‐Cargo Delivery

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
Torons, topological quasiparticles in liquid crystals, can be propelled using electric fields and precisely steered with magnetic alignment, enabling programmable motion without fluid flow. In microfluidic channels, they transport colloidal cargo and exhibit novel dynamic behavior. Their uniformity, softness, and reconfigurability make torons ideal for

Diameter-independent skyrmion Hall angle observed in chiral magnetic multilayers

open access: yesNature Communications, 2020
Magnetic skyrmions are promising objects for future spintronic devices. However, a better understanding of their dynamics is required. Here, the authors show that in contrast to predictions the skyrmion Hall angle is independent of their diameter and ...

Emergent Chaos‐Like Dynamics of Spin–Orbit‐Torque‐Driven Magnetic Transitions

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
By combining anisotropy‐engineered nanometer‐scale nucleation sites with time‐resolved x‐ray holography and micromagnetic modeling, magnetization dynamics are directly imaged, revealing chaos‐like fluctuations and skyrmion shedding and highlighting the intrinsic complexity of spin‐orbit torque driven systems.

More on Electroweak-Skyrmion

open access: yes, 2017
We discuss the properties of the topological soliton, or the Electroweak-Skyrmion, in the system of the Standard Model Higgs Lagrangian with addition of general O(p 4) terms.

2D Magnetic and Topological Quantum Materials and Devices for Ultralow Power Spintronics

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 36, Issue 44, 1 June 2026.
2D magnets and topological quantum materials enable ultralow‐power spintronics by combining robust magnetic order with symmetry‐protected, Berry‐curvature‐driven transport. Fundamentals of 2D anisotropy and spin‐orbit‐coupling induced band inversion are linked to scalable growth and vdW stacking.
