Emergent Freestanding Complex Oxide Membranes for Multifunctional Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, Volume 38, Issue 16, 17 March 2026.
This review surveys freestanding oxide membranes and covers fabrication and three pathways for studies and devices: strain‐free and strained membranes, and van der Waals‐integrated heterostructures. We show how coupled oxide responses map onto these routes and cross‐couple to expand behaviors.

Robotic Materials With Bioinspired Microstructures for High Sensitivity and Fast Actuation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 15, 13 March 2026.
In the review paper, design rationale and approaches for bioinspired sensors and actuators in robotics applications are presented. These bioinspired microstructure strategies implemented in both can improve the performance in several ways. Also, recent ideas and innovations that embed robotic materials with logic and computation with it are part of the

Controlling Bubble and Skyrmion Lattice Order and Dynamics via Stripe Domain Engineering in Ferrimagnetic Fe/Gd Multilayers

open access: yesAdvanced Physics Research, Volume 5, Issue 3, March 2026.
The density and ordering of the bubble/skyrmion lattice hosted by Fe/Gd multilayers can be significantly enhanced using an in‐plane field to align the stripe domain state. As a result, the laser‐induced breathing mode dynamics are strongly modified, showing both an increased amplitude and frequency.

Weak Crystallization of Fluctuating Skyrmion Textures in MnSi

open access: yesPhysical Review X, 2019
We report an experimental study of the emergence of nontrivial topological winding and long-range order across the paramagnetic-to-skyrmion lattice transition in the transition metal helimagnet MnSi.

Short-Period Skyrmion Crystals in Itinerant Body-Centered Tetragonal Magnets

open access: yesMagnetochemistry
In this study, we investigate the stability of a magnetic skyrmion crystal with short-period magnetic modulations in a centrosymmetric body-centered tetragonal system. By performing the simulated annealing for the spin model, incorporating the effects of

Collective variable model for the dynamics of liquid crystal skyrmions

open access: yesCommunications Physics
Liquid crystal skyrmions are topologically protected spatially-localized distortions of the director field which exhibit particle-like properties including translational motion in oscillating electric fields.

Machine learning study on magnetic structure of rare earth based magnetic materials

open access: yesMaterials & Design
Machine learning is playing an increasingly important role in discovery and design of new materials. In this work, 11 machine learning algorithms were trained to predict the material magnetic structure. Material composition and crystal structure are used
