Magnonic bandstucture in a skyrmion crystal
2015 IEEE Magnetics Conference (INTERMAG), 2015Magnetic skyrmions are vortex-like topologically stable spin textures, whose microscopic magnetic moments are of a whirling configuration and characterized by a finite topological winding number [1, 2]. They are promising candidates as information carriers for future spintronic devices because of their small size, facile current-driven motion and ...

Large anisotropic deformation of skyrmions in strained crystal
Nature Nanotechnology, 2015Mechanical control of magnetism is an important and promising approach in spintronics. To date, strain control has mostly been demonstrated in ferromagnetic structures by exploiting a change in magnetocrystalline anisotropy. It would be desirable to achieve large strain effects on magnetic nanostructures.

Particle-based model of liquid crystal skyrmion dynamics
Soft MatterMotivated by recent experimental results that reveal rich collective dynamics of thousands-to-millions of active liquid crystal skyrmions, we have developed a coarse–grained, particle-based model of the dynamics of skyrmions in a dilute regime.

Frustration-induced skyrmion crystals in centrosymmetric magnets
Journal of Physics: Condensed MatterAbstract Recent theoretical and experimental studies on the frustration-induced skyrmion crystal (SkX) in centrosymmetric magnets are reviewed, with some emphasis on their symmetry and topological aspects. Special importance of frustration and chirality is highlighted.
