A Unified Approach to High Density: Pion Fluctuations in Skyrmion Matter [PDF]
As the first in a series of systematic work on dense hadronic matter, we study the properties of the pion in dense medium using Skyrme's effective Lagrangian as a unified theory of the hadronic interactions applicable in the large $N_c$ limit.

Spin–orbit torque driven skyrmion motion under unconventional spin Hall effect
The effective control of skyrmion motion is a critical aspect for realizing skyrmion-based devices. Among the potential directions, the use of current induced spin–orbit torque (SOT) is energetically efficient. However, the conventional heavy metals with

A Theory of Skyrmion Size in Skyrmion Crystals
Abstract A magnetic skyrmion is a topological object that can exist as a solitary embedded in the vast ferromagnetic phase, or coexists with a group of its "siblings" in various stripy phases as well as skyrmion crystals (SkXs). Isolated skyrmions and skyrmions in an SkX are circular while a skyrmion in other phases is a stripe of various forms.

Bubble and Skyrmion Crystals in Frustrated Magnets with Easy-Axis Anisotropy [PDF]
We clarify the conditions for the emergence of multiple-${\bf Q}$ structures out of lattice and easy-axis spin anisotropy in frustrated magnets. By considering magnets whose exchange interaction has multiple global minima in momentum space, we find that ...

Blue Phase III: Topological Fluid of Skyrmions
Skyrmions are topologically protected, vortexlike formations of a field that cannot be removed by any smooth transformation and emerge in a range of fundamentally different, either quantum or classical systems, from spin textures to chiral ferromagnets ...

Zoology of Multiple‐Q Spin Textures in a Centrosymmetric Tetragonal Magnet with Itinerant Electrons
Magnetic skyrmion is a topologically stable particle‐like swirling spin texture potentially suitable for high‐density information bit, which was first observed in noncentrosymmetric magnets with Dzyaloshinskii–Moriya interaction.

Superfluid and magnetic states of an ultracold Bose gas with synthetic three-dimensional spin-orbit coupling in an optical lattice [PDF]
We study ultracold bosonic atoms with the synthetic three-dimensional spin-orbit (SO) coupling in a cubic optical lattice. In the superfluidity phase, the lowest energy band exhibits one, two or four pairs of degenerate single-particle ground states ...

Locking of skyrmion cores on a centrosymmetric discrete lattice: Onsite versus offsite
A magnetic skyrmion crystal (SkX) with a swirling spin configuration, which is one of topological spin crystals as a consequence of an interference between multiple spin density waves, shows a variety of noncoplanar spin patterns depending on a way of ...
