Stabilization mechanisms of magnetic skyrmion crystal and multiple-Q states based on momentum-resolved spin interactions

open access: yesMaterials Today Quantum
Multiple-Q states as represented by a magnetic skyrmion crystal and hedgehog crystal have been extensively studied in recent years owing to their unconventional physical properties.

Phase diagram of two dimensional electron gas in a perpendicular magnetic field around Landau level filling factors \nu=1 and \nu=3

open access: yes, 2005
The measured melting curve $T_{m}(\nu)$ between the crystal and liquid phases is analyzed using thermodynamics to extract the change of magnetization $\Delta M$ as a function of the Landau level filling factor \ $\nu,$ near $\nu=1$. \ An explanation of $\

Solitons on tori and soliton crystals [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Necessary conditions for a soliton on a torus $M=\R^m/\Lambda$ to be a soliton crystal, that is, a spatially periodic array of topological solitons in stable equilibrium, are derived.

Strain‐Assembled Crystalline SrRuO3 Microtube and Emergent Curvilinear Magnetism

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The interfacial‐strain assembly based on planar nanomembranes presents a promising approach for constructing novel magnetic microstructures. By employing the perpendicular magnetic anisotropic SrRuO3 freestanding nanomembrane as a model system, we exploit the interfacial strain effect within the crystalline SrTiO3/SrRuO3 bilayer, and successfully ...

Large Room Temperature Anomalous Nernst Effect Coupled with Topological Nernst Effect from Incommensurate Spin Structure in a Kagome Antiferromagnet

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates that ErMn₆Sn₆, a kagome antiferromagnet hosting incommensurate spin textures, sustains finite scalar spin chirality that drives topological states. The anomalous Nernst effect (ANE) originates from the strong Berry curvature of Chern‐gapped Dirac fermions, while the topological Nernst effect (TNE) arises from emergent fields ...

Skyrmion crystals stabilized by ω-mesons

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
Abstract We investigate the ground state crystalline structure of nuclear matter in the ω-meson variant of the Skyrme model. After minimizing energy with respect to variations of both the Skyrme field and the period lattice, we find four distinct periodic solutions which are similar to those found in the standard Skyrme model.

Chemical Doping Engineering of Polarization and Topological Textures in van der Waals Ferroelectric CuInP2S6

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Our work reports that Li⁺ doping in CuInP2S₆ induces coexistence of high‐ and low‐polarization states, which fosters a rich spectrum of topological polar textures, such as bubbles and labyrinth domains. An unconventional flexoelectric effect is also discovered, where strain gradients can mechanically manipulate these polarization states and their ...

Thermodynamic Phase Diagram of the Quantum Hall Skyrmion System

open access: yes, 1999
We numerically study the interacting quantum Hall skyrmion system based on the Chern-Simons action. By noticing that the action is invariant under global spin rotations in the spin space with respect to the magnetic field direction, we obtain the low ...
