Room‐Temperature Skyrmionic Synapse in 2D Ferromagnet Fe3GaTe2 Operating via Collective Spin Texture Transformation

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
We demonstrate a neuromorphic synapse in 2D Fe3GaTe2 flakes. The device operates via a current‐driven transformation from a skyrmion‐lattice to a stripe‐domain state, yielding a linear anomalous Hall resistance response with a tunable slope to enable multiply‐accumulate operations. Simulations confirm its viability in artificial neural networks.

Diffusionless relaxation of half-skyrmion liquid, hexatic, and crystalline states in a chiral molecular crystal

open access: yesPhysical Review Research
Particles in a crowded environment exhibit slow anomalous diffusion, and their efficient manipulation is important in controlling transport phenomena in complex materials.

Interaction and collision of skyrmions in chiral antiferromagnets

open access: yesSciPost Physics
Skyrmions in an antiferromagnet can travel as solitary waves in stark contrast to the situation in ferromagnets. Traveling skyrmion solutions have been found numerically in chiral antiferromagnets. We study head-on collision events between two skyrmions.

Target-skyrmions and skyrmion clusters in nanowires of chiral magnets

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2014
In bulk non-centrosymmetric magnets the chiral Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya exchange stabilizes tubular skyrmions with a reversed magnetization in their centers.

Electrical Detection of Magnetic Skyrmions in a Magnetic Tunnel Junction

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, 2023
Magnetic skyrmions are promising information carriers for dense and energy‐efficient information storage owing to their small size, low driving‐current density, and topological stability.

Photonic Pseudospin Skyrmion in Momentum Space

open access: yesIEEE Photonics Journal, 2023
Magnetic Skyrmions are topologically protected spin structures with sophisticated swirls of electron spins. In recent times, photonic counterparts of the magnetic Skyrmions have been discovered with new deep-subwavelength characteristics promising for ...

Measuring the Hall Effect in Hysteretic Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
The authors highlight common pitfalls in measuring the Hall effect: in hysteretic magnets, improper data processing can create signals that look exotic but are not real. This Perspective explains the origin of these artifacts and presents practical measurement strategies that help researchers identify reliable Hall responses in complex magnetic ...

The scattering of baby Skyrmions off potential obstructions, in a Landau-Lifshitz model [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
The dynamics of baby skyrmions of the (2+1) new baby Skyrme model, in a Landau - Lifshitz model, was studied in the presence of various potential obstructions of varying geometries.

Magnetic Skyrmions at Critical Coupling [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
We introduce a family of models for magnetic skyrmions in the plane for which infinitely many solutions can be given explicitly. The energy defining the models is bounded below by a linear combination of degree and total vortex strength, and the ...
