Experimental Study of Corner Slab-Column Connection
ACI Structural Journal, 2014Punching shear design criteria of corner slab-column connections in ACI 318-11 are controversial. This paper presents some of the relevant issues using design examples. Two approximately full-scaled corner slab-column subassemblages were tested under combined gravity load and lateral displacement reversals. Each specimen consists of a 120 × 120 × 8 in.

Rehabilitation of reinforced concrete slabcolumn connections
Canadian Journal of Civil Engineering, 2002The paper presents work on punching shear rehabilitation and strengthening of existing slabcolumn connections. Four full-scale specimens representing slabcolumn edge connections were built and tested to failure. Three slabs were then repaired and strengthened and tested again.

Shear–moment interaction of slab–column connections

The Canadian design code, CAN3-A23.3-M84, is evaluated on the basis of its agreement with the observed connection behavior. Other approaches to modelling slab–column connections are examined.

Slab-column edge connections subjected to high moments
