Experimental Study on the Influence Mechanism of the Structural Plane to Rockbursts in Deeply Buried Hard Rock Tunnels

open access: yesShock and Vibration, Volume 2021, Issue 1, 2021., 2021
During the excavation of a large number of deeply buried tunnels and mining projects, rockburst disasters occur frequently due to the complex geologic environment in deep underground, including high initial geostress, adverse tectonic actions, and excavation disturbance.

Excavation unloading‐induced fracturing of hard rock containing different shapes of central holes affected by unloading rates and in situ stresses

open access: yesEnergy Science &Engineering, Volume 8, Issue 1, Page 4-27, January 2020., 2020
The integrated effect of unloading rates, in situ stresses, and sectional shapes of deep tunnels were considered. The entire failure process, destruction severity, and failure range were investigated and analyzed. The released strain energy is shown to present distinct variation trend under different conditions.
