Dynamic Deformation Characteristics of AISI Type 316LN Stainless Steel with Varying Nitrogen Content

open access: yessteel research international, Volume 96, Issue 11, Page 470-479, November 2025.
Dynamic tensile deformation behavior of SS 316LN with varying nitrogen content has been investigated at intermediate strain rates to supplement mechanical properties characterization for nuclear application. The present study reveals an increase in strength and a decrease in ductility with increase in strain rate and nitrogen content.

Fuzzy logic approach in metals fatigue [PDF]

open access: yes, 1987
The fatigue behavior of metal structures is extremely complex. Many types of uncertainty exist in metal fatigue studies, including member geometry; shape and size of fatigue cracks; type, shape, and size of defects and discontinuities in the structural ...

The Reduction of Group 6–8 Transition Metal Oxides with Hydrogen—From Ore Smelting to Reaction Pathways#

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Inorganic Chemistry, Volume 28, Issue 30, October 22, 2025.
As the reduction of transition metal oxides by coal poses a significant climate risk, the use of alternative reducing agents such as hydrogen is becoming increasingly important. This review summarizes the current knowledge of the reduction pathways of transition metal oxides from groups 6 to 8.

Моделирование процессов межфазного взаимодействия при электродуговой сварке и наплавке под флюсом [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Показано, що для оцінки металургійних властивостей флюсів при електродуговому зварюванні у більшості моделей обмежуються розглядом реакції шлак-метал, що суперечить фізичній моделі електродугового зварювання під флюсом.
