Slant Geometry of Spacelike Hypersurfaces in the Lightcone [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
In this paper, we consider one-parameter families of new extrinsic differential geometries on spacelike\ud hypersurfaces in the lightcone. These geometries are constructed by applying two of one-parameter families of\ud Legendrian dualities between ...

Pointwise bi-slant submersions from cosymplectic manifolds

open access: yesCommunications Faculty Of Science University of Ankara Series A1Mathematics and Statistics, 2020
Summary: We introduce pointwise bi-slant submersions from cosymplectic manifolds onto Riemannian manifolds as a generalization of anti-invariant, semi-invariant, semi-slant, hemi-slant, pointwise semi-slant, pointwise hemi-slant and pointwise slant Riemannian submersions.

Damage survivability of passenger ships : re-engineering the safety factor [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
This paper presents a brief summary of the work carried out by SSRC and Brookes Bell Safety at Sea within the EC-funded project GOALDS on the development of a new formulation for assessing the survivability of damaged ships in waves. The proposed formula

On Lagrangian submersions

open access: yes, 2014
In this paper, we study Riemannian, anti-invariant Riemannian and Lagrangian submersions. We prove that the horizontal distribution of a Lagrangian submersion from a Kaehlerian manifold is integrable.

Slant Geometry of Spacelike Hypersurfaces in Hyperbolic space and de Sitter space [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
We consider a one-parameter family of new extrinsic differential geometries\ud on hypersurfaces in Hyperbolic space. Recently, the second author and his collaborators have\ud constructed a new geometry which is called horospherical geometry on Hyperbolic

Valosin‐containing protein counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its ATPase activity in vitro

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

Cell surface interactome analysis identifies TSPAN4 as a negative regulator of PD‐L1 in melanoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Using cell surface proximity biotinylation, we identified tetraspanin TSPAN4 within the PD‐L1 interactome of melanoma cells. TSPAN4 negatively regulates PD‐L1 expression and lateral mobility by limiting its interaction with CMTM6 and promoting PD‐L1 degradation.

Almost h-semi-slant Riemannian maps [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
As a generalization of slant Riemannian maps (Sahin), semi-slant Riemannian maps (Park), almost h-slant submersions (Park 2012), and almost h-semi-slant submersions (Park 2011), we introduce the notion of almost h-semi-slant Riemannian maps from almost ...

Evaluation of the Use of Sub-Pixel Offset Tracking Techniques to Monitor Landslides in Densely Vegetated Steeply Sloped Areas [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Sub-Pixel Offset Tracking (sPOT) is applied to derive high-resolution centimetre-level landslide rates in the Three Gorges Region of China using TerraSAR-X Hi-resolution Spotlight (TSX HS) space-borne SAR images.
