2010During the Lower Miocene investigated area was located in the central part of the North Croatian Basin, at the south-western margin of the Pannonian Basin System. Formation of sedimentary basin in the area of Slavonia started in the Ottnangian with freshwater deposits.Lacustrine conditions were dominated in all area.

WATER LEVELS OF THE MAJOR RIVERS IN SLAVONIA
2019A large lowland region in the east part of the Republic of Croatia, known as Slavonia, is surrounded by three large rivers. In the north flows the Drava River, which turns right and flows into the Danube, close to Aljmaš. In the south is the Sava River bed, which connects with the Danube downstream in Serbia.
