Comparing Otolaryngology Subspecialties' Changes in Medicare Reimbursement From 2013 to 2024

From 2013 to 2024, all otolaryngology subspecialties experienced drastic declines in Medicare inflation‐adjusted facility price with general otolaryngology, rhinology, and otology being the most negatively impacted. Clinical evaluation of nebulized verapamil in out‐patients with pulmonary hypertension secondary to chronic obstructive pulmonary disease

Single dose nebulized verapamil inhalation showed improvement in V/Q mismatch throught increase FVC. Nebulized verapamil inhalation improved gas exchanged and increased spO2. Nebulized verapamil inhalation for out‐patients with pulmonary hypertension secondary to chronic obstructive pulmonary disease improved spirometric parameter.

OSA screening for patients with suspected coronary heart disease before CAG showed that the prevalence of OSA in CHD patients was higher than that in non‐CHD patients. AHI ≥ 20 is a risk factor for CHD. Therefore, OSA screening and management should be paid attention to before CAG in patients with suspected CHD.
