Recent Advances in Laser‐Induced Graphene‐Based Gas Sensors: From Sensing Mechanisms to Biomedical Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Laser‐induced graphene (LIG) provides a scalable, laser‐direct‐written route to porous graphene architecture with tunable chemistry and defect density. Through heterojunction engineering, catalytic functionalization, and intrinsic self‐heating, LIG achieves highly sensitive and selective detection of NOX, NH3, H2, and humidity, supporting next ...

Effect of a single low-dose esketamine administration during surgical abortion on postoperative sleep disturbance: a randomized controlled trial

open access: yesNature Communications
Women with pre-existing sleep disturbance frequently experience postoperative sleep disturbance after surgery. This randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, parallel-group trial was conducted to investigate the efficacy of intraoperative adjunctive ...

Sleep disturbance in the elderly.

open access: yesNippon Ronen Igakkai Zasshi. Japanese Journal of Geriatrics, 1990
Sleep structure is qualitatively and quantitatively changed by aging. The elderly usually go to bed in early evening and wake up in early morning, and they also take several naps in the day time. The polyphasic sleep is one of the typical sleep patterns found in the elderly.

Multimodal Wearable Biosensing Meets Multidomain AI: A Pathway to Decentralized Healthcare

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Multimodal biosensing meets multidomain AI. Wearable biosensors capture complementary biochemical and physiological signals, while cross‐device, population‐aware learning aligns noisy, heterogeneous streams. This Review distills key sensing modalities, fusion and calibration strategies, and privacy‐preserving deployment pathways that transform ...

Biolipid Film‐Fused Electrochemiluminescence for Multipurpose In Situ Bioassays

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An ECL‐emissive, membrane‐interactive scaffold was fabricated, and facilely fused with natural and non‐native phospholipids into multifactorial mimicries of cytomembranes and vesicles for in vitro representative membrane‐process probing. Such a biointerface‐based, state‐sensitive ECL paradigm not only pinpointed proximal phenomena, including channeling

Discovering Interpretable Semantics from Radio Signals for Contactless Cardiac Monitoring

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study presents a semantic representation framework for clinically interpretable cardiac monitoring from contactless radio signals. It formulates radio semantic learning as an information‐bottleneck problem and approximates the objective via intra‐modal compression and cross‐modal alignment, structuring radio measurements into meaningful semantic ...

Distinct Biotypes of Visual Perception in Major Depressive Disorder

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In a discover dataset (272 acute MDD patients), this work identifies a novel depression biotype characterized by impaired visual motion perception, using machine learning clustering. An independent dataset confirms the robustness of this biotype through cross‐validation and demonstrates its generalizability.

Investigating the relationship between sleep disturbances and white matter hyperintensities in older adults on the Alzheimer's disease spectrum

open access: yesAlzheimer’s & Dementia: Diagnosis, Assessment & Disease Monitoring
INTRODUCTION While studies report that sleep disturbance can have negative effects on brain vasculature, its impact on cerebrovascular diseases such as white matter hyperintensities (WMHs) in beta‐amyloid‐positive older adults remains unexplored. METHODS
