Zhurnal nevrologii i psikhiatrii im. S.S. Korsakova, 2018The article reviews the phenomenology of sleep and wakefulness disorders in Parkinson's disease and Alzheimer's disease. Degeneration of sleep and wakefulness centers, secondary effect of other symptoms of diseases and side-effects of drug therapy lead to a widespread prevalence of sleep and wakefulness disturbances in these patients.

DISORDERS OF THE CIRCADIAN SLEEP–WAKE CYCLE
Neurologic Clinics, 1996This article reviews several disorders of the circadian sleep-wake cycle, including delayed sleep phase syndrome, advanced sleep phase syndrome, non-24-hour sleep-wake syndrome, irregular sleep-wake pattern, time zone change (jet lag) syndrome, and shift work sleep disorder. For each disorder, the cause, diagnostic work-up, and management are outlined.
