Using SLIC Method for Photo Stylized Rendering [PDF]

open access: yesAdvances in Computer Science Research, 2015
Our work present a novel approach to deal with photo stylized rendering. Using the SLIC method, the stylized process will be faster and is able to keep the effect. The regions are constructed using SLIC, which is used in image segmentation field. After that we extract the color value for each region and render the image.

Counting Independent Sets in Percolated Graphs via the Ising Model

open access: yesRandom Structures &Algorithms, Volume 68, Issue 1, January 2026.
ABSTRACT Given a graph G$$ G $$, we form a random subgraph Gp$$ {G}_p $$ by including each edge of G$$ G $$ independently with probability p$$ p $$. We provide an asymptotic expansion of the expected number of independent sets in random subgraphs of regular bipartite graphs satisfying certain vertex‐isoperimetric properties, extending the work of ...

Change Detection of High Resolution SAR Images by the Fusion of Coherent/Incoherent Information

open access: yesLeida xuebao, 2015
Aiming at detecting the change regions of high resolution Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) images, we propose to use the Dempster-Shafer (D-S) evidence theory to fuse coherent/incoherent features from sensors that form an integral part of the system. First,

BSLIC: SLIC Superpixels Based on Boundary Term

open access: yesSymmetry, 2017
A modified method for better superpixel generation based on simple linear iterative clustering (SLIC) is presented and named BSLIC in this paper. By initializing cluster centers in hexagon distribution and performing k-means clustering in a limited region, the generated superpixels are shaped into regular and compact hexagons.

From the Bottom Up: Calculating Mantle‐Derived Magma Flux Using Subduction Parameters and Petrologic Constraints at Oceanic Arcs

open access: yesGeochemistry, Geophysics, Geosystems, Volume 27, Issue 1, January 2026.
Abstract Mantle‐derived magma flux has a first‐order control on long‐term volcanic productivity, volatile cycling, and crustal growth in convergent margins. However, the factors controlling it remain unclear. We used a simplified, 3D conceptualization of an intraoceanic subduction zone and petrologic constraints on mantle melting to calculate mantle ...

Image Segmentation of Brain MRI Based on LTriDP and Superpixels of Improved SLIC

open access: yesBrain Sciences, 2020
Non-uniform gray distribution and blurred edges often result in bias during the superpixel segmentation of medical images of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).

Superpixel Convolutional Networks using Bilateral Inceptions

open access: yes, 2016
In this paper we propose a CNN architecture for semantic image segmentation. We introduce a new 'bilateral inception' module that can be inserted in existing CNN architectures and performs bilateral filtering, at multiple feature-scales, between ...

The Evolving Decline of Landfast Sea Ice in Northern Alaska and Adjacent Waters: Results from an Updated Climatology

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Oceans, Volume 131, Issue 1, January 2026.
Abstract We present a new 27‐year record of landfast sea ice extent in northern Alaska and adjacent waters, which uses ice chart data to extend a previous analysis based on synthetic aperture radar (SAR) imagery. This new climatology provides updated information on the decline of landfast ice in a region of the Arctic that has seen extensive losses of ...

Research on Fine Water Body Extraction From SAR Images Based on Superpixel Segmentation

open access: yesIEEE Journal of Selected Topics in Applied Earth Observations and Remote Sensing
The water body extraction technology based on superpixel segmentation in SAR images faces challenges such as insufficient precision in extracting fine water boundaries under speckle noise and complex scattering conditions.
