Sliced Inverse Regression (SIR) via group lasso
Journal of Al-Rafidain University College For Sciences ( Print ISSN: 1681-6870 ,Online ISSN: 2790-2293 ), 2021In this paper the authors propose a group-lasso for sliced inverse regression (group lasso-SIR). This proposed method can deal with the problem of correlation existence between predictor variables. Simulation is used to investigate the performance of proposed method comparing with ridge and lasso in sliced inverse regression (lasso-SIR).

Dimension reduction is essential in fMRI decoding, but the complex relationship between fMRI data and class labels is often unknown or not well modeled so that the most effective dimension reduction (e.d.r.) directions can hardly be identified.

Sliced inverse regression (SIR): An appraisal of small sample alternatives to slicing
1997The authors consider the semiparametric regression model \(y=g(x'\beta_1,\dots, x'\beta_k,\epsilon)\), where the dependent variable \(y\) depends on the explanatory variables through so-called indexes, i.e. linear combinations \(x'\beta_i\), \(i=1,\dots,k\).
