Slice and BlockwiseWell-Composed Sets

6th IEEE/ACIS International Conference on Computer and Information Science (ICIS 2007), 2007
An infinite or closed continuous surface partitions space R2 or R3 into two disjoint sub-spaces, an "inside" and an "outside". Notions of voxel set separability describe an analogous partitioning of discrete space Z2 or Z3 by a surface voxelisation. Similar concepts, 2D and 3D well-composed sets, define the manifold nature of the boundary between a ...

Sliced Lung Sets, an Alternative to Whole Lung Sets?

Radiation Protection Dosimetry, 2000
The performance characteristics of sliced lung sets were compared to lung sets with activity homogeneously distributed throughout the lung tissue substitute material. The activity estimate from planar sources differs from the estimate from homogeneous sources by a factor of 0.88 to 1.09 depending on the photon energy.

Schur analysis in the slice hypercomplex setting

AIP Conference Proceedings, 2012
The aim of this note is to present a brief state of the art of Schur analysis in the slice hyperholomorphic setting.

Vertical slice and horizontal slice of conditional fuzzy sets

2017 International Conference on Fuzzy Theory and Its Applications (iFUZZY), 2017
In this paper, vertical slice and horizontal slice of conditional fuzzy set (CFS) are defined and derived, which are different from those of type-2 fuzzy set (T2 FS) with type-1 (T1), blur and weight representation. First, we give the formal definition of CFS which is generalization of the definition given by Wang.

A slice of a brain: a hybrid neural chip set

Proceedings of 1994 37th Midwest Symposium on Circuits and Systems, 2002
This paper proposes a complete self-contained chip set for ANN systems based on a back-propagation model with full-connectivity topology and on-chip learning and refreshing. We believe that our proposal is the first to offer fully hardware-supported on-board learning in continuous analog mode.

Approximation of Slice Regular Functions in Compact Sets

2019
In this chapter, we present the counterparts in the slice regular setting of some classical results in complex analysis, namely approximation results of Runge type, Mergelyan type and Arakelian type. Then, we study approximation by quaternionic Faber polynomials and by quaternionic polynomials in Bergman spaces.

Exceptional Sets of Slices for Functions From the Bergman Space in the Ball

Canadian Mathematical Bulletin, 2001
AbstractLet BN be the unit ball in and let f be a function holomorphic and L2-integrable in BN. Denote by E(BN, f) the set of all slices of the form , where L is a complex one-dimensional subspace of , for which is not L2-integrable (with respect to the Lebesgue measure on L). Call this set the exceptional set for f.

Fault Localization Based on Dynamic Slicing and Hitting-Set Computation

2010 10th International Conference on Quality Software, 2010
Slicing is an effective method for focusing on relevant parts of a program in case of a detected misbehavior. Its application to fault localization alone and in combination with other methods has been reported. In this paper we combine dynamic slicing with model-based diagnosis, a method for fault localization, which originates from Artificial ...

On Sets with Extremely Big Slices

2016
A new characterization of the Radon-Nikodym property in terms of sizes of slices and equivalent norms is presented. A property opposite to the Radon-Nikodym property is studied in the context of 1-unconditional sums of Banach spaces.
