Genetically Programmed Shape‐Morphing of Engineered Living Materials
Here, bacterial and mammalian engineered living materials (ELMs) are presented, in which living cells direct genetically programmed and enzymatically mediated shape‐morphing. The resulting deformation and shape‐recovery can be actuated in a genetically controlled manner by an ELM incorporating out‐of‐equilibrium counteracting biochemical reactions with

Bioinspired Hydrogels with Broadly Programmable Mechanics for Soft‐Tissue Interfaces
Sea cucumber‐inspired gelatin hydrogels are formed by directional freezing and mechanically programmed through subsequent ionic treatment. Multiscale characterization and modeling link ion‐regulated chain interactions to directional load transfer within the aligned hierarchical architecture.

Rainfall prediction based on CNN-LSTM model under sliding window
As monthly rainfall is a long-term and complex process, this study utilized the characteristics of the sliding window to replace the current month’s data with the multi-month rainfall data set within the sliding window for predictive analysis.

Mask‐encoded UV exposure translates digital color information into pixel‐resolved structural‐color patterns in hydroxypropyl cellulose gels. Gaussian‐process‐guided calibration links UV processing conditions, wavelength, and mask opacity, enabling parallel fabrication of multicolor images in a single 10 s exposure.

A geometry‐reconfigured additive manufacturing strategy converts planar printed soft materials into soft compact neural probes with integrated hydrogel electrodes and microfluidic channels. The resulting NeuroMAP platform enables scalable multichannel recording, localized chemical delivery, stable in vivo electrophysiological recording, and reduced ...

Phase transitions are central for the assembly of recombinant silk proteins into fibers. Soluble protein can transition into condensed states such as condensates and gels. These states are metastable and evolve in a time‐dependent way. Metastability depends on the protein sequence, and this relationship can be used to enhance the mechanical properties ...

Pseudorandom generators for sliding-window algorithms
A sliding-window algorithm of window size t is an algorithm whose current operation depends solely on the last t symbols read. We construct pseudorandom generators (PRGs) for low-space randomized sliding-window algorithms that have access to a binary randomness source.

Diameter and k-Center in Sliding Windows.
In this paper we develop streaming algorithms for the diameter problem and the k-center clustering problem in the sliding window model. In this model we are interested in maintaining a solution for the N most recent points of the stream. In the diameter problem we would like to maintain two points whose distance approximates the diameter of the point ...

Configuration‐Encoded Cell Alignment by Light‐Gated Silicon Photovoltaic Microcell Arrays
Light‐gated silicon photovoltaic microcells convert pulsed illumination into localized electrical cues. Arranging otherwise similar microcells into four‐lobed, six‐lobed, or circular patterns directs fibroblasts into corresponding local arrangements without wired stimulation.
