Slimming ResNet by Slimming Shortcut
2020 25th International Conference on Pattern Recognition (ICPR), 2021Conventional network pruning methods on convolutional neural networks (CNNs) reduce the number of input or output channels of convolution layers. With these approaches, the channels in the plain network can be pruned without any restrictions. However, in the case of the ResNet based networks which have shortcuts (skip connections), the channel slimming

SLIM (spectroscopic localization by imaging), a tool for in vivo magnetic resonance spectroscopy that provides compartmental spectra from relatively few phase-encoded data, is limited by the inhomogeneities within each compartment. It is shown that the SLIM-derived spectra approach the average compartmental spectra as the number of phase encoded data ...

J. N. Silva introduced in 2002 the impartial combinatorial game of LIM played on three piles of token. A player takes \(n\) token from two piles but also adds \(n\) token to the third. In this paper, the authors introduce an equivalent rule-set LIM', a sort of coordinates transform, closely related to the classical game of NIM.

A new spectrometer, here denoted the SLIM (simple, low-power, inexpensive, microcontroller-based) spectrometer, was developed that exploits the small size and low cost of solid-state electronic devices. In this device, light-emitting diodes (LED), single-chip integrated circuit photodetectors, embedded microcontrollers, and batteries replace ...

The author investigates Slim graphs which can be obtained by deleting in a Meyniel graph G all the edges induced by an arbitrary set of nodes. Besides proving that Slim graphs are perfect a simple proof of the conjecture is given that Meyniel graphs are locally perfect graphs.

Women's Attitudes to Slimming and Slimming Foods
Nutrition & Food Science, 1992With approximately 60 per cent of the adult female population in the UK (14.2 million women) slimming either seriously or as a token gesture, a survey of the attitudes of 200 women to slimming and slimming foods was conducted between October and December 1991 by either face‐to‐face interview or questionnaire in several East Midlands towns in England ...
