A mathematical model of an active control landing gear for load control during impact and roll-out [PDF]
A mathematical model of an active control landing gear (ACOLAG) was developed and programmed for operation on a digital computer. The mathematical model includes theoretical subsonic aerodynamics; first-mode wing bending and torsional characteristics ...

Mucosa‐Interfacing Capsule for In Situ Sensing the Elasticity of Biological Tissues
A fundamental mechanism of palpating soft materials is reported to sense deep tissue elasticity in situ with minimal invasion using the interaction between the robot palpation unit and soft tissues. Both the robot locomotion and elasticity sensing functions are remotely controlled by external magnetic fields, while the sensing data are wirelessly ...

Untethered Magnetic Microswimmers for Targeted Particle Transport and Flow Manipulation
This work introduces magnetically actuated microswimmers to dynamically reconfigure fluid flow within a single microfluidic device. Multiple homogeneous microswimmers are independently controlled by an external magnetic field to perform translational and rotational motions, thereby inducing real‐time flow manipulation.

Temporally and spatially resolved flow in a two-stage axial compressor. Part 2: Computational assessment [PDF]
Fluid dynamics of turbomachines are complicated due to aerodynamic interactions between rotors and stators. It is necessary to understand the aerodynamics associated with these interactions in order to design turbomachines that are both light and compact
