Effect of Slip Flow on Aerodynamics
2019This paper presents the effect different of slip boundary conditions on aerodynamics. The effect of continuum breakdown on aerodynamics of lift wing was shown. Present results keep an agreement with the results in reference about flow around the cylinder.

Effect of rear-fuselage design on the aerodynamics of a helicopter at side-slip angle
Aerospace Science and Technology, 2019Abstract The aerodynamic design of a helicopter fuselage encounters many complexities that arise from the large variation in side-slip angle during different flight maneuvers and gusty conditions. A wind tunnel investigation was performed on a scaled-down helicopter model at Reynolds number of Re w = 9.6 × 10 5 to analyze its ...

Aerodynamic films between carbon brushes and slip-rings
Wear, 1962Experiments have been made to determine the conditions under which air films are formed between electrographite brushes and slip-rings. It is shown that aerodynamic pressures both above and below atmospheric can exist when the brush is inclined to the slip-ring at angles between 1.10−3 and 5.10−2 rad.

Experimental investigation of waverier aerodynamic forces in supersonic and hypersonic slip regime
2022This paper presents an experimental investigation focused on aerodynamic forces of a waverider in supersonic and hypersonic slip regime. This study is carried out in the laboratory ICARE of CNRS with the wind tunnel named MARHy. This facility recreates supersonic and hypersonic rarefied flows thanks to different nozzles and a pumping unit able to ...

Abstract An expression for the pressure drop for the established zone of pneumatic conveying system has been derived by equating the gravitational force to the resistances offered to a particle moving with terminal settling velocity. The ratio of calculated and experimental pressure drop has been defined as K, which has been correlated in terms of ...

agneto-Fluid-Dynamics (MFD) offers a potential breakthrough in both hypersonic vehicle design and propulsion. Reductions in heat transfer to the vehicle, as well as strong flow control, appear possible. Magnetic fields may be important for enabling hypersonic vehicles to pass more efficiently and safely through the atmosphere.

THEORETICAL AERODYNAMIC PROPERTIES FOR AN INCLINED FLAT PLATE IN SLIP FLOW
1952Abstract : A theory concerning the drag coefficient for the flat plate at zero angle of attack in slip flow was extended to include the aerodynamic coefficients for drag, lift, and moment at very small angles of attack. The lift coefficient may be taken to equal the skin-friction coefficient.
