Generation Rule of the Slip Dislocation in LEC GaAs Crystal
Japanese Journal of Applied Physics, 1986In a (001) low dislocation density wafer, an eight-fold circular strain field was observed near the periphery between <110> and <100> radii. The observed result was explained from the viewpoint of ease of slip dislocation generation by calculation of Schmid factor magnitude distribution under the condition that major thermal stress was ...

AbstractThe present work explores the consequence of the flow of micropolar fluid in an inclined microchannel when exposed to linear radiation in presence of a magnetic field. The microchannel is embedded with a porous medium and the Darcy–Forchheimer model is implemented.

A double slip non-coaxial flow rule for viscous-plastic Cosserat materials
Acta Geotechnica, 2011We propose a double slip non-coaxial plastic model within the framework of a Cosserat continuum theory. In a Cosserat continuum, a material point possesses the degrees of freedom of an infinitesimal rigid body: two translations and one rotation in 2D.

In this paper, we designed a Korean courtesy amounts recognizer which improves error correction results in recognized character strings. We use two properties of Korean character strings for the post-processor of Korean courtesy amounts. First, there are syntactic rules in character strings. Using this property, we can correct errors in Korean courtesy

On the associated flow rule of plasticity based on crystal slips
Journal of the Franklin Institute, 1960Abstract Associated flow rule has been commonly assumed in the limit analysis of metal structures. In this paper, aggregates of differently orientated metal crystals with finite elastic constants are considered. The coincidence of the plastic potential with yield surface of these polycrystalline aggregates is theoretically derived from the slip ...

Rule Based Wheel Slip Assignment for Vehicle Stability Enhancement
SAE Technical Paper Series, 1999<div class="htmlview paragraph">A set of rules is derived that can be used to determine effective choices for the wheel slips to be maintained at the wheels of a vehicle that has the capability to control its wheel slip levels. The determined wheel slips will be effective at enhancing the stability of the vehicle.</div>

Abstract Many dynamic mechanical systems, such as parts-feeders and percussive power tools, are described by equations of motion which are discontinuous. The discontinuities result from kinematic constraint changes which are difficult to foresee, especially in presence of impact and friction.

AbstractThe influence of the flow rule on the bearing capacity of strip foundations placed on sand was investigated using a new kinematic approach of upper-bound limit analysis. The method of stress characteristics was first used to find the mechanism of the failure and to compute the stress field by using the Mohr-Coulomb yield criterion.

A general update rule for Lyapunov‐based adaptive control of mobile robots with wheel slip
International Journal of Adaptive Control and Signal ProcessingSummaryIn this article, we introduce a novel family of Lyapunov‐based adaptive kinematic control laws developed to solve the trajectory tracking problem for a differential‐drive mobile robot under the influence of both longitudinal and lateral wheel slip.

Abstract Slip transmission behavior across α/β interface has been investigated in an α/β titanium alloy, TC21 alloy (Ti-6Al-2Sn-2Zr-3Mo-1Cr-2Nb-0.1Si). Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) was used to observe slip lines morphology and transmission across the interface in samples which undergo a certain tensile strain.
